by The Turkish Music Research and Promotion Group (Tümata) gave a concert for the business community in Istanbul at the traditional iftar hosted by the Foreign Economic Relations Board (DEİK).
The DEİK Iftar Dinner was held on the evening of Wednesday, May 30, 2018, at the at the Lütfi Kırdar Congress and Exhibition Center.
At the concert held before iftar, Gülten Urallı (solo bendir), Emre Başaran (oud and ney), Hande Başaran (rebab), Hatice Gülbahar Hepsev (rebab and bendir), and Bengisu Ece Başaran performed.
The program featured a mix of works by Turkic peoples and communities of Central Asia alongside Sufi compositions. The following pieces were performed in order: “Akkalfak,” “Kayadan İndim,” “Kamaçay,” “Seni Ben Severim,” “Bu Akli Fikriyle,” “İnsan İnsan,” “Akibet,” “Hakk’ı Seven,” and “Allah Hu.”
The performances allowed the audience to experience the ancient friendship and strong spiritual bond between Anatolia and Central Asia.
The concert, which drew a large crowd, lasted about forty minutes.
